Parkside Optical Inc. launches Digi-Klear Digital Display Cleaning System.
Parkside Optical Inc., the manufacturer of the highly popular mini-Pro and Lenspen lens cleaning systems has come out with a Lenspen for cleaning digital displays called 'Digi-Klear'. With a triangle-sized tip about the size of Franklin Roosevelt's face on a dime, it can easily get into the tight corners of a digital camera's lcd screen.
The Digi-Klear is a pen shaped device with a retractable brush at one end and a flexible chamois tip on the other end. To use the Digi-Klear, first use the brush end to brush off any particles from the lcd display area. I'll even retract the brush halfway in order to make the brush stiffer, in order to get the dust out of the corners and recesses. Next take the cap off the other end and simply wipe in a circular motion to clean the lcd. For stubborn fingerprints, you can even breath on the lcd to make it easier to see the cleaning process. This type of cleaning does not involve fluids, but can remove finger prints, and water marks. The dry carbon-based cleaning agent is non-toxic and environmentally friendly. No need for messy aerosol sprays and tissues to clean surfaces. The cleaning tip can be used hundreds of times, and is activated by put the cap on and twisting it.
The Digi-Klear also reduces static charge, which is important since static charges attract dust. I found the Digi-Klear easy and fun to use. The lcd screen on my camera is much more susceptible to nose and finger prints so I use it a lot. After 100 uses, I see no signs of wear or being used up. It's dry design is bound to outlast my digital camera! You can also use the Digi-Klear on other items as well, use it on display screens on video cameras, PDA's and even on the new generation cell phones!
